Children with Attention Disorder and Hyperactivity Disorder may have two groups of Symptoms, those of Inattention and the other of Hyperactivity-Impulsivity.

ADHD Treatment at Manovikas Clinic, Vashi

In children with ADHD our child psychologist Dr. Vikas Deshmukh will take a detailed history from parents is an important first step of evaluation. Sometimes, feedback from teachers is also sought; after all, ADHD has to be observed in both settings, school as well as home. However, the clinical examination of the child also becomes very essential. Some children may show signs of both symptom groups while some children may suffer inattention, alone.

The treatment includes medication to correct the neuro-chemical imbalance. ADHD in the child may lead to difficulties in learning and may lead to adverse effect on the child’s academics. Hence, timely treatment is essential. Psychotherapy, occupational therapy also helps.
